This  68 hour hybrid course is a Virginia Board of Nursing approved Program. It consist of 44 hours of online training and 24 hours of clinical training in various assisted living facilities, to assist in Medication Management and Administration in assisted living facilities.


The cost includes the e-textbook and all classroom materials. 

  • Clinical must be scheduled within 30 days upon completion ($50)

 

Prerequisites:

  • Virginia Department of Social Services approved 40hr Direct Patient Care program

  • Virginia Medicaid approved 40hr Personal Care Assistant certificate

  • Virginia Board of Nursing approved Nurse Aide certificate

  • Certificate will be provided within 10 Business Days (count ONLY Monday through Friday non-holidays)  upon successful completion of the course.

    Not Included: Students will be able to schedule clinical at  eligible to apply to Virginia Board of Nursing ($50) and the examination at PSI ($70) to become a Registered Medication Aide (RMA).

This 32 hour hybrid course will prepare unlicensed individuals to assist with self-administration of medication as required under the Drug Control Act of Virginia using a curriculum approved by the VA Board of Nursing. This course consists of 24 hours of online training and 8 hours of in-person hands on training. After successful completion, students may provide medication management services in Adult Residential and Day Centers, Group homes/behavioral health facilities, prisons and jail.

Taking Notes

This 40hr hybrid Personal Care Aide program meets Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) curriculum for Home Health and Hospice and is also accepted by Virginia Department of Social Services for direct patient care staff in licensed assisted living facilities. This course consists of 34 hours of online training and 6 hours of in-person hands training. This course prepares participant to assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing and toileting, patient transfers, nutrition, oral & personal hygiene with hands-on training by a RN
